age: 5
grade: kindergarten
what landon loves: friends, being outside, legos, building, science, learning how things work, running, baseball & sports in general, facetiming his cousins to play with them, pokemon and minecraft [by name only. doesn't really know anything about them]. he loves sour patch kids, chocolate milk, and cheese pizza. he loves our imagination box and creating different things out of junk [fun fact: for a birthday we recently made a friend an imagination box and everyone asked "who gave the big pile of trash?" we did. and it was a hit]. he loves army men and pretending to be a jet fighter. he is wild and physical but not in a mean way. and he loves weapons and guns of all sorts. recently he's been pretending to play minecraft even though he has no clue what that is.
what landon hates: he doesn't hate much- he is pretty good about eating and trying new things. he complains about going to school [and missing all the fun things we do] and eating dinners but he'll do it. he complains about homework but does it. he doesn't like sitting still but he'll do it and is getting better at it [especially during church. he actually does this adorable thing where he starts making faces and playing with himself and it's the cutest thing in the world]. the only thing i can hate is haircuts. he hates haircuts and will scream and cry.
what landon can do: starting to read! pretty proud of him. he does a great job sounding it out and figuring out what it says. it's frustrating to him but he can do it. he can do some basic math but i haven't really pushed him on it. he is a great runner and baseball player. all around a pretty great athlete. he is an excellent helper and a good big brother. he will often take porter to the bathroom for me. he is really good at legos and constructing things. he has a great memory and will ask a lot of insightful questions [mom, how did the underwater dinosaurs die? because the meteor couldn't have hit them].
what we're working on: reading, keeping our cool at the end of a long day at school, keeping on task in the morning.
