toddler update
yearage: twopoundage: i'm guessing 29lb- he's quite solid but short. wonder where those genes come from?
what landon loves: airplanes! helicopters! it is all about things that can fly, no joke. he also loves chickens and rough-housing. tractors and gogo's. firefighters and being outside. coloring and mickey mouse clubhouse. books and swings. rice and apple juice. hitting and biting. stealing people's toys. nursery. m&ms and fruit snacks. milk. doing things himself.
what landon hates: being told what to do. sharing. sitting still. sacrament meeting [except for the bread/water part]. saying sorry. eating all of a meal. being alone.
what landon can say: almost anything- really, he speaks so much and comprehends so much. and he remembers everything too [thanks to his father]. we often will sit down at the end of the day to talk about what we did and he'll remember. then he'll remember things from weeks and weeks before. like last night he while putting on his pajamas he started to talking about shannon giving him superman pajamas. or he'll talk about the time he got water in his eyes when he took a shower with dad. smart little cookie. he can't completely pronounce things, like he says helicopti or mogurt. he especially loves to sing songs. he often will ask for 'his own songs' in the car [his cd]. some of his favorite primary songs are follow the prophet, dare to do right, nephi's courage and do as i'm doing. he will always ask to read the jesus boat story at night. sometime he bursts out with things that we don't even remember teaching him, like saying it's dark outside or cool shirt.
what landon can do: he can pee and poo in the potty but lately hasn't wanted to. granted, he wants to sit on the toilet for hours at a time but doesn't always do much. he is starting to play a bit on his own, not much, but more then before. he likes to have his daddy fly him around with his blankets. he particularly enjoys our afternoon applesauce we eat together. he loves to play outside in water- or even water inside.
what we're working on: not biting, not hitting, sharing, playing independently, colors, and shapes. repeating mommy during prayers, following instructions, and not climbing onto counters.
what we're looking forward to: halloween! i'm thinking he's going to thomas the train but who knows? christmas will be loads of fun too. he's starting to understand holidays and presents- it makes life so much fun! he even knows who santa claus is.
what we're not looking forward to: life without charlotte - we really hung out with them so much so we'll have a lot of extra time on our hands. landon will not be too happy to share mommy with baby brother so i bet that will not be something he's looking forward to.
