turn off the boob tube & read: something borrowed

did you see this movie? it was ah-maz-balls.

really, i just loved it. and coincidentally i saw the movie last time i was in carson. i picked this book up for $3. i needed something before my next book club pick [because there was no way i was going to finish 'gone with the wind' since a) i hate it and b) i hate it even more and c) i couldn't go to the actual date] and this fit the bill. now, to warn you, it's not devin approved but it's no shannon either. it's a nice anna- with some mild language. aka not for the faint of heart.

the storyline in case you didn't see the movie: rachel is darcy's maid of honor who introduced her to her fiance dex. dex and rachel realize a few months before the wedding that they're in love [they were law school buddies] and darcy is a self-absorbed narcissist. the book fares a bit differently then the movie, timeline wise, but pretty great. i loved it because it was light and absorbing. i spent many a hours in the bath reading it so a win for me. a nice escape. i'm even going to read the next one 'something blue'.

next month, the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society. and let's be honest, i'm a bit scared. so we'll see.

Don't be scared of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, it's really good! I loved that book. If you like some good historical fiction you'll be fine.

Then again, I like Gone With The Wind so...

But perhaps I'll have to check out this movie/book since I've never heard of it before.
