absence makes the heart forget

one of the first letters i got from justin - i was so giddy!
6 days
148 hours
8,880 minutes
532,800 seconds

it seems like a lifetime. you'd think i'd be used to riding solo. i did survive 2 years without justin, what's one week? well i'll tell you - it's death. this is the first time we've been apart from each other and it was basically a week, so ya, it has been the worst.

this has been my week's schedule:
8:30am - wake up and cough up phlegm. eat breakfast.
10am - read book in the bath [finished the first 3 eragon books] and cough up phlegm.
12pm - nap and take meds
3:43pm - eat lunch and take meds
5pm - watch 'brothers & sisters: season 3' and cough up phlegm
7pm - eat dinner and take meds
9pm - read book in the bath and cough up phlegm
11pm - bed. cuddling a pillow pet.

i live the grandeur life of a house cat. did you know i am a professional waiter? i waited for years for justin to notice me, then til he thought of me as more then a friend. i waited for him to go on a mission then to get home from the mission. i waited for us to get engaged then waited for our wedding. in my vast experience of waiting, i've come to learn that absence doesn't make the heart grow fonder, it makes it forget. the first couple of days/weeks/months are painful but then poof! you acclimate in order to protect yourself from pain. well i refuse to. so here it goes - i promise to remember.

i remember the way he looks when he sleeps and the 'heavy-breathing' noises he makes. i remember how he meticulously dresses in the morning and rearranges his tie several times before he leaves. i remember his stupid alaskan gold digger and the woof hunting show [ok that's a lie]. i remember arguing with him over the correct method to wash dishes and whining/begging/pleading/persuading/coercing him to rub my feet, which he always does eventually.

i have a whole lot waiting for me and now i'm less then 24 hours away from it. huzzah!
