think barney uses 'awesome' too liberally? try me

saturday marked the first saturday justin's had off of work for a while- and while i will not confirm nor deny reports that getting saturdays off of work included a fib concerning summer school, those little details are really nbd.
in anticipation of this blessed day, we wrote down a list of summer goals:
-roadtrip to ca (eta- last weekend of june and middle of august with the tapparrisons)
-read general conference talks together
-attend a concert (eta- santana with stonifer in august)
-go on a picnic in the mtns
-take mel on her first camping trip (eta- july 4th weekend with stonifer and friends)
-get justin on a boat! (he has never been on a little boat- and first boat experience was on our cruise)
-work out more regularly: yoga, gym, swimming, tennis, lax, football
-utah trip to see president peterson's homecoming talk (eta- july)
-create something together (ideas anyone??)
-go on some hikes
-leid discovery museum, sans the chicklens
-mini-golf @ the new place by bish gorman hs
-fly a kite
it's not much but it's us. so we thought about hiking, or even going to leid discovery museumn, but like most things in life, our plans just didn't hatch quite right.
we started our weekend by babysitting terry woods. now, i saw babysitting, not dogsitting. terry is an intricate and a vip in the renaissance villa community and doesn't deserve to be called a dog. we had been looking forward to it for so long! adrianne was going to see a wedding & aaron is out in new mexico, tomb-raiding it up, so we got the blessed honor of keeping terry company. terry is just the funnest dog ever! we like to call him a meer-cat because of the way he gets on his hind-legs and begs (see pic below- sidenote: he is not possessed or a newborn vampire, he just doesn't photograph well with a flash, like most divas)

so nouget of awesomeness numero uno.
this week, i accidentally ordered 7 books and 3 movies from amazon (i SWEAR- i was looking at the screen, blacked out, then was told i just purchased some books/movies! i honestly can't be held responsible) , including iron man. my beloved had never seen this amazing movie, granted he was in uruguay when it emerged. i, on the other hand, had seen it many, many times. including this time below. it was the first of my senior year and me & my besties saw it on the rec field. SO much fun. (see evidence below)
anywho, i bought the video and forced him to watch it during the week (justin is not one much for the movies- i know, i don't know how he survives). he didn't hate it, so awesomeness numero dos. so friday we went and saw it @ green valley ranch after i made some delicious homemade pizza. can i just say, i love iron man. but i like most movies, esp superhero movies. saturday we slept in, cleaned our beloved home (in anticipation for the night) then went to qdoba for some grub (thanks to our wood friends!) then went to fulfil a different lifetime goal of ours.
when we moved into our apt, we realized we were kissing cousins with the international marketplace- and with a name like that, how could you not be curious? so we ventured into this huge store and was immediately olfactory assaulted. it was intense, but AMAZING- i could NOT not take pictures of the freaky (and amazing!) things so enjoy these tidbits of awesomesness.
this is for my little english biscuit, ashten
we used to have quails. i pray i never ate them as a little girl...

really? scarface?  mass murder, the opposite of what we would deem awesome (not even worth bolding it)

this is some magical brazillian soda that justin just HAD to have. guess what verb i'd use to describe it? a_e_o_e.

justin liked this and dubbed it awesome but in the words of my favorite girl girl, GIRL POWER
pork butt, really? the epitome of awesome

that night we got to hang out with lynsey, justin's sister then to honor the inner boring-married-couple within us, hosted a game night with some new friends, the spencers & ireleands. i don't mean to brag, but i am kinda an expert trash-talker. thank goodness i didn't have to use my skills. just like ironman, some powers need to be controlled. (here we are playing a sizzling game of 'kill bunnies', which my beaver friends would no doubt love- please note the irelanders loving glare. couldn't break eye contact...i smell a different kind of supernatural power) thank goodness we added to our couple friends; together we will rid the world of bunnies and add to it's level of awesomeonity.
the night was great...well except for when the ambulance had to be called up....
you know, i can't be held responsible for my actions. my skin is pale white and ice cold. i am impossibly fast and strong. its a tought road to live with a mortal. we WERE going to take a pic and text it to teryl (justin's mom) to give her a freak-out (because my mother wouldn't. something about having 6 children make you immune to caring about your children's safety...) but alas, we love her too much. my friend cheryl is an emt and let us take a quick glimmer into the life of a injured. another flint of awesomeness to add the fire of awesome. as you can see, i didn't get much from my degree. here i am trying to give justin cpr and he's not even laying flat. dr. taylor would be so embarrassed.
