[sorry i am so lazy and so late as to posting this. granted, i am pregnant, so i am going to use that excuse until jan 21 and prob 6 months after. and sorry for the massive number of pictures, again, too lazy to combine them].
about a month ago we went to the salt lake area for my neice's first birthday and my first nephew's priesthood ordination. i really wasn't planning on going but i had nothing to do and thought, hey why not? my bff8 had just had her second baby [aka baby no-name's betrothed] so i especially had a good reason to go. we hitched a ride with grandma shell and landon just had the funnest time with the tv. but he really didn't do too well in the car. i swear he keeps getting worse and worse.
we stayed with my sister devin. ayden is a few days older then landon [which you wouldn't know bc he wears 9 month pants] so they had a lot of fun together. well, landon had fun bossing ayden around. i think ayden was kinda sick of him by the end. landon esp loved the swings in the backyard and i enjoyed being in walking distance to that ice cream place that freezes the ice cream right in front of you..... what's it called??since it was vacation we had a lot of fun doing things we don't normally do, like visit mcdonalds [which he calls the cow place. get it? old macdonald and his cows? took me forever to figure it out]. he got this weird toy there and had deeply loved it since.
he also got his own slurpee, courtesy of aunt shannon. we stayed with her for one night and landon had a blast. he slept the worst he's slept in over a year so i was extremely tired [thankfully aunt shannon stepped in for me]. she had tons of fun new toys, books and harley [who landon called charley]. it was the best.
we even went on a walk to the park with charley and got caught in a rainstorm!
the next day we visited my bff's from hs and i got to meet this cutie patootie pie. isn't she just the cutest. landon was not impressed but i just could not get enough of her. believe me, she was licked a plenty.
landon had so much fun with abby! they especially loved chasing each other.
we even went on a trip for lunch [seriously, what is it called? i cannot remember anything these days!] where landon and abby had tons of fun hiding in the kid's room and eating each others food.
it was so much fun getting together with these gals! no matter how long it's been, it still feels like old times. except with crying kids who constantly are getting into things and dominant conversations.
we were supposed to have bree's birthday party that night but sadly she got admitted to the hospital so we celebrated at the hospital. isn't she a doll? seriously the cutest ever.
grandma shell got ayden and landon presents to open along with bree, including a dusty airplane, which landon loves but holy goodness it's annoying. afterwards we had some delicious dinner at red robin which was invaded with tons of ute fans. seriously, it's just football people.
sadly i didn't get any pictures of sunday's ordination or ben but i promise you, he was a handsome fella. i can't believe he's 12- i remember his birth quite clearly since he was our first grandkid and i was in hs. it's just weird that he's old enough to hold the priesthood. he is quite the amazing kid- super smart and very fun. monday we had a quick visit with granddad where landon had loads of fun with granddad's airplanes then home for us. i was so happy to be home. and justin surprised me with tons of surprises [a giant library cart of books, a double stroller, a brand new bbq grill, a kid's table for the backyard, a table and chair for the backyard, landon's room cleared out- to name a few]. can't wait for our next trip!

I am so glad you came! It was fun seeing you for a few hours. We need to make a trip down that way soon. Also, the ice cream place is Sub Zero and the sandwich place is Sconecutter. Silly prego brain.
