roadtrip: sl,ut

once we left the big hoppin metropolis of elko, nv, we headed to sl,ut! thankfully we left early enough to still have fun friday. we started our vacay by visiting slc's capital and let me tell you, that place is a palace. seirously, you think the sl temple is ornate [it is - see here] but the capital is just as nice [ok, not just as nice. but leagues ahead of nv's]. we hoped it would be in session but alas, those bums in utah don't like to work. justin's new goal is to visit each state's capital. well, two down - 48 to go [although we do have one more in the works - we're going to sacramento in two weeks].

we stayed at my brother's house in orem the first night and hung with my favorite ben & emily then went out mini-golfing with tramanda - justin's mission bf & his wife at trafalga. i wanted to go to nicklecade but it was closed. i wanted to go to the batting cages or even go-cart racing but alas, baby olive just messes up all the fun. i guess that's what i get for having too much fun in the first place.... but golf was great! i even was winning half way through but sadly, my pride became by downfall and i ended up in last place.

saturday & sunday we stayed with my bff8 caitlin at her fancy new house! i'm so green, we've been trying to get a house for a little less then a year now but circumstances always stop us [which was the right thing, considering our temp move to carson]. saturday my other bestie/bridesmaid/tight buttocks friend stoney balogne came over and we got lunch & slurpees, cleaned up the house, then had a girls night with caitlin's fam. i never knew sam was such a 'just-dance 2' fan but let me tell you, that boy can walk like the best of the egyptians.

bff8s : 4 and 6 months

sunday we woke up too early after going to bed too late to go to the sunday am session of general conference - it was amazing to hear president monson speak. i just wish i could have been more conscious during the 3 hours we were there. that night we had dinner with the tappana family and i learned i have some blogstalkers i never knew. let me tell you people, nothing makes a gal happier to know she had fans she didn't know about. i mean, i stalk TONS of people who don't know or don't know me - maybe i should tell them....but then again, i could be 'that creeper stalker girl' they tell their friends about. or worse, make them turn their blog private.

monday was a long, long drive home to carson but the weekend was worth it. only two  more weeks now to my next getaway....
